Online gaming operator Betway has signed a new betting partnership with Belgian football club Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht.

The agreement will see the Betway brand made visible around the team's Constant Vanden Stock stadium, and allow the operator to interact with fans via the club’s digital media channels.

The operator, licensed to provide its services in Belgium under the Betway.be domain, replaces bwin.party as the club’s official betting partner after its three-year agreement came to an end.

Betway also serves as shirt sponsor for Premier League side West Ham, and has agreed betting partnerships in place with five clubs in Germany’s second highest football league, the 2.Bundesliga.

“We are proud and enthusiastic to become RSC Anderlecht’s betting partner,” said Betway’s head of marketing and advertising Anthony Werkman. “The club has a rich, successful history and we see this cooperation as an opportunity to get supporters even closer to Anderlecht and throughout Belgian football.”

The Belgian Pro League club is the country’s most successful football team, having won five European competitions and 33 championship wins, in addition to nine Belgian Cups. Its shirt sponsor is international bank BNP Paribas Fortis.

Jo Van Biesbroeck, manager of RSC Anderlecht said: “The partnership with Betway is good news for our fans. We are convinced that their sports betting expertise will be enjoyed by our supporters. The club is proud to be able to work with Betway, a company with a good reputation when it comes to online gaming.”
