The UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has told Betfred not to circulate a welcome promotional email to new sign-ups after it was found to have misled customers about their eligibility for the offer.

The ASA received two complaints regarding the welcome email, one of which was upheld.

New Betfred customers received an email from the company which said that if they bet £10 they would receive £30 in free bets.
