Mr Green has agreed a partnership with English Championship team Wigan Athletic which will see the Swedish gaming operator roll out in-stadium betting for the club.

The partnership runs for the remainder of the 2016-17 Championship season, as well as the full 2017-18 season, with Mr Green becoming Wigan's official betting and gaming partner.

The deal is Mr Green's first betting partnership, with all in-stadia betting at the team's DW Stadium to be carried out under its brand.

The operator believes the partnership will allow it to strengthen its presence in the UK market, rolling out welcome offers, price boosts and tailored bets, as well as special competitions and prizes for Wigan fans.

The operator only launched its Kambi-powered sportsbook product in June this year, with the product rolled out ahead of schedule. While Mr Green is yet to break down revenue by product, CEO Per Norman described the sportsbook as having "been well-received by customers and proceeding according to plan."

"We are pleased to welcome Mr Green on board and hope to enjoy a long and successful partnership," Wigan chief executive Jonathan Jackson said. "Mr Green are a firm continually looking to develop in the gaming field, especially in sport, so we hope the partnership with Latics can enhance their profile further."

"We're delighted to partner with Wigan Athletic over the coming seasons and look forward to engaging Latics' fans with our award-winning product," Mr Green country manager for the UK and Ireland Alex Beecham said. "This is another step towards growing our UK brand by working alongside a forward-thinking club with a proud history."

Shares in Mr Green & Co. AB (Co. Data) (STO:MRG) were trading down marginally by 0.86 per cent at SEK34.50 per share in Stockholm earlier Monday.
