A television ad for the Health Lottery has been banned by the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for misleadingly exaggerating the chances of winning.

The TV ad was broadcast in February and featured various people who had won, including a man who stated: “I would encourage anyone to go out and buy a Health Lottery ticket. You’ve a very good chance of winning…”

Twelve complainants challenged whether this claim misleadingly exaggerated the chances of winning the Health Lottery.
