Swedish casino games developer NetEnt plans to give away €1m in cash over the course of this summer's World Cup with its new Mega Million Campaign.

The campaign will run from the tournament kick off on June 14th until the final on July 15th, on the popular jackpot titles Hall of Gods and Mega Fortune.

It is divided into two parts, with the first offering players the chance to win a €3,800 prize every day a World Cup match is played, with €95,000 to be awarded in total. Players will also have the chance to win a mega jackpot on each slot, with €350,000 available via Hall of Gods and €650,000 for Mega Fortune.

"Campaigns like Mega Million enhance players' gaming experience," NetEnt chief product officer Henrik Fagerlund said. "This summer's football event is a great opportunity to push our already popular jackpot games, and that's why we've splashed out on this one.

"Just like our players, we're really looking forward to the World Cup and can't wait for the excitement to begin!"

The launch of the Mega Million Campaign follows the rollout of NetEnt's new sports betting widget for live casino, which allows players to bet on matches while playing casino games.

A special feature for its live roulette game, World Cup Live, has also gone live. This allows players to follow all the action with regular updates while playing the game. This is supported by a separate promotional campaign, Goal Smash Roulette, offering daily bonus giveaways and prize draws. Another widget, Football Free Round, also allows players to win free game rounds by competing in a penalty shootout.
