London-listed betting and gaming operator William Hill has signed former Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher as its new brand ambassador.
Gallacher has signed a long-term deal with the operator, and is to feature in a range of activities, providing social media content and hosting major William Hill's activities around sporting events. She will also play a key role in the various events and promotions centring around this summer's FIFA World Cup.
She joins former footballer Robbie Savage and legendary jockey Tony McCoy as an official ambassador for the William Hill brand.
A veteran sports presenter with more than 20 years' experience, she has spent the majority of her year appearing on Sky Sports News. She has also presented programmes such as reality sports game show The Games and the rebooted version of popular UK show Gladiators.
She has already started work for the bookmaker, hosting the first World Cup party at William Hill's very own pub, the William Hill Arms. Located in St Paul's, London, the venue is showing all England matches, with a range of sports stars and celebrities in attendance.
At Monday's event Gallacher was joined by fellow ambassador Savage, former England international Emile Heskey, boxer Dereck Chisora and comedian Keith Allen, who co-wrote the classic World Cup songs World in Motion and Vindaloo.
"I am really excited about becoming an ambassador for William Hill," Gallacher said of her new role.
William Hill communications director Ciaran O'Brien added: "We're thrilled Kirsty is joining William Hill. She is one of the best known sports presenters in the country and it's exciting that she is now one of the new faces of William Hill."
"Kirsty is the first of our big summer signings, but watch this space as there's more to come."
Shares in William Hill plc (LSE:WMH) were trading up 1.02 per cent at 307.80 pence per share in London Friday morning.
