GVC Holdings-owned betting exchange BETDAQ has agreed to sponsor the starting stalls at nine UK racecourses owned by racecourse group Arena Racing Company (ARC).

The sponsorship runs through to the end of the year and covers up to 1,000 races, with BETDAQ’s brand appearing on starting stalls at any unsponsored flat meeting on ARC racecourses. This includes live races broadcast throughout the summer on At The Races and Sky Sports' Winning Post Live programme.

"BETDAQ are pleased to enter into this partnership with Arena Racing for the remainder of the 2018 flat season,” said BETDAQ managing director Shane McLaughlin. “Branding their starting stalls will enable us to further deliver the 2 per cent value commission message and build on the positive momentum and goodwill the brand has been receiving from the racing fraternity over a number of months."

ARC director of partnerships, David Leyden Dunbar, added: “We’re delighted that BETDAQ has chosen to build on their racing sponsorship portfolio by becoming ARC’s group starting stalls partner. Each of our flat tracks are looking forward to working with the team at BETDAQ to ensure we help promote the betting exchange across this summer’s flat racing.”

The agreement adds to BETDAQ’s existing racing sponsorship portfolio, which includes the BETDAQ Punchestown Champion Hurdle and deals with Kempton Park, Irish trainer Gavin Cromwell and the Racing Blogger.
