New York-listed gaming supplier PlayAGS has agreed a sponsorship deal with the National Hockey League’s (NHL) newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights.

The multi-year partnership allows AGS to sponsor the new Play of the Game feature at every Vegas Golden Knights home game on the videoboard, which will be replayed and highlight a key moment from each home game.

AGS becomes the first gaming equipment supplier to sponsor the NHL franchise, which recently signed up William Hill US as its first sports betting partner as well as a host of casino partners.

AGS will officially launch its Vegas Golden Knights partnership at next month’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, and will host appearances by the Golden Aces and the team mascot Chance the Gila monster, as well as other hockey-themed promotions and events.

Shares in PlayAGS Inc (NYQ:AGS) closed up 0.37 per cent at $29.50 per share in New York Wednesday.
