Major League Soccer (MLS) has agreed a multi-year gaming partnership with operator MGM Resorts International.

MGM will serve as the league’s first official gaming partner, with its Roar Digital joint venture with GVC Holdings becoming the exclusive official sports betting partner of MLS.

Both brands will benefit from access to enhanced MLS data for fans and sports betting customers, as well as opportunities to develop unique MLS-themed promotions and sweepstakes. MGM and Roar Digital will also gain prominent brand exposure through television-visible signage at all 100-plus nationally-broadcast MLS games.

The partners will also work together to develop an exclusive free-play game for fans, and to bring world-class soccer events and other experiences to fans in Las Vegas.

Shares in MGM Resorts International (NYS:MGM) closed up 1.22 per cent at $26.57 per share in New York Tuesday, while shares in GVC Holdings plc. (LSE:GVC) were trading down marginally by 0.56 per cent at 532.00 pence per share in London Wednesday morning.
