German betting operator Tipwin has agreed a three-year extension to serve as a premium partner of Bundesliga side Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

The new contract runs until the end of the 2021/22 season and will see Tipwin’s branding continue to feature across the club’s stadium, with a TV-relevant presence on additional advertising media for home games, as well as services on the club’s digital platforms.

“The ambitious operating principles of our partner Tipwin fits in brilliantly with Bayer 04 Leverkusen,” said Bayer 04 chairman Fernando Carro. “I'm very happy about the extension to our tried-and-tested and amicable collaboration."

Tipwin is also a premium partner of rival Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, and currently operates around 600 betting outlets across Germany, as well as a Malta-licensed online offering.

“Tipwin are fully committed to the current partnership with Bayer 04 Leverkusen and we therefore didn't find it difficult to agree to the extension,” said Tipwin head of the legal Damir Böhm. “Our target is to establish technical measures in the sports betting market, be as professional as possible and yet work in an informal atmosphere. That is easy to agree with a club like Bayer 04.”

Last season Bayer 04 finished in 5th place in the Bundesliga, qualifying for the upcoming season’s UEFA Europa League.
