The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned a television advertisement from GVC-owned British bookmaker Coral which was found to encourage repetitive participation in gambling.
The TV ad for Coral was seen in June and featured a man and woman playing a game of chess. A female voice-over stated: “Don’t be silly. Bet savvy. Join Coral’s bet and get club and get a free £5 bet every Sunday. The smart money’s on Coral.”
