Indictment charges have been issued against fourteen defendants, including the leader of the Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas, in connection with a conspiracy to launder drug distribution proceeds by investing in the U.S horse racing industry.
A federal grand jury in the Western District of Texas returned the indictment this week, charging fourteen defendants including Los Zetas leader Miguel Angel Trevino Morales and his brothers, Oscar Omar Trevino Morales and Jose Trevino-Morales.
