A bill that proposes to amend the Nevada Constitution to allow lawmakers to authorise the operation of a state lottery for the support of public education has been heard this week at the Nevada Senate Legislative Operations and Elections Committee.
The Nevada Constitution currently prohibits the operation of a state lottery except for a lottery authorised by the Legislature in the form of a raffle or drawing for charitable or non-profit activities.
