California Senator Lou Correa has amended the state’s SB40 online poker bill as an urgency statute to ensure that California can “act quickly to secure potential online poker revenues before the opportunity is lost”.
As a result of yesterday’s amendment, SB 40 will remain active legislation and will be able to continue through this year’s legislative cycle without being subject to legislative committee deadlines.
