Ireland’s Financial regulator has threatened enforcement action against contracts for difference (CFD) and spread-betting providers after inspections at four firms found that none were fully compliant with MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) Regulations.
The Financial Regulator said Friday that it had inspected four firms to examine their compliance with certain requirements of MiFID Regulations, including procedures for accepting clients and the quality and type of information provided to them.
