Australia sets up new unit to protect integrity of sport

The Australian federal government has established a new unit to help stamp out match-fixing and protect the integrity of sport in the country.

Minister for Sport Kate Lundy announced the formation of the National Integrity of Sport Unit (NISU) yesterday, which will monitor and coordinate the implementation of the national match-fixing policy and support Australia’s national sporting organisations (NSOs).
