UK publishes draft Bill to regulate online gambling

The United Kingdom has introduced draft legislation which requires all online gaming operators who serve customers in Britain to obtain a licence in the UK.

The Draft Gambling (Licensing & Advertising) Bill, published Monday by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), claims to offer greater protection to British consumers of remote gambling services by regulating the activity on a point of consumption basis.
