Germany accused of censoring gambling advertisers

Germany’s advertising industry association has hit out at  new rules which come into force on February 1st that will require gaming companies to seek prior approval for their TV and internet advertisements.

The Central Association of the German Advertising Industry (Zentralverband der deutschen Werbewirtschaft – ZAW), says the new regulation is a blatant form of censorship according to constitutional case law and warns that it will only serve to strengthen the position of state gaming companies [...]
