PokerStars asks New Jersey to ignore AGA claims

PokerStars has written to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and the Casino Control Commission to oppose the “dangerous precedent” posed by the American Gaming Association’s participation in PokerStars’ license application.

The letter, penned by PokerStars’ outside attorneys Jeff Ifrah and David Deitch, follows the AGA’s unprecedented attempt to hijack PokerStars’ acquisition of the Atlantic Club via a 24-page brief, which attempted to tell the New Jersey regulatory authorities why PokerStars should not be licensed.
