The Illinois Lottery is expected to terminate its private management contract with Northstar Lottery Group after the private manager failed to achieve its revenue target for the third consecutive year.
According to a spokesperson for Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, the governor has told the lottery to end its relationship with Northstar and develop a new strategy to improve profit and increase funding for education and economic development in the state.
