South Africa’s Ministry of Trade and Industry has concluded negotiations to award the country’s third national lottery licence to the GTECH-powered Ithuba Holdings, despite a legal challenge against the selection.
Last month Minister of Trade and Industry Dr Rob Davies named Ithuba as the preferred bidder, with incumbent operator Gidani, in which Intralot South Africa is an equity member, named the reserve applicant.
