The European Parliament has adopted amendments to the European Commission’s proposal for a new Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD), which subject all gambling services to EU-wide rules for the first time to prevent money laundering.
The ultimate owners of companies and trusts would have to be listed in public registers in EU countries, under the draft anti-money laundering rules voted by Parliament on Tuesday.
