Pinnacle Sports shareholder Tomchin escapes 56 felony charges

Pinnacle Sports shareholder Stanley Tomchin escaped with a plea to a minor offence yesterday, a victory he celebrated having faced the prospect of 25 years in prison after being accused of a variety of gambling-related offences.

Tomchin had been charged with 56 separate felonies by the Queen’s County (NY) District Attorney’s Office in 2012 including allegations of criminal charges of conspiracy, money laundering, and enterprise corruption in connection to a multi-million dollar sports betting ring.
