US state lottery operators and casinos could be prompted to call for greater regulation of daily fantasy sports (DFS) after a new survey suggested the growth of the sector could prove to be a threat to the two lucrative industries.
A poll conducted by Canadian research and strategic marketing firm Leger claims that the majority of DFS players have admitted to lowering spend on other forms of gaming in favour of fantasy football.
