Netherlands gambling regulator the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has claimed that a letter writing campaign warning operators against targeting Dutch consumers has been successful in reducing “excessive” advertising around the World Cup and Tour de France.
The KSA wrote letters to eight sports betting operators it had placed under investigation due to what it described as over-the-top advertising, prompting the eight to cease their activites.
