The California Lottery has seen sales surpass the $5bn mark for the first time during the 2013/14 fiscal year, the fifth consecutive year that lottery sales have increased.
Sales were up 13 per cent to $5.03bn following continued increases in Scratchers sales, and significant growth in Mega Millions and Powerball sales.
