The Australian state of Victoria has been ordered to pay Tatts Group AUD$540.5m after the Victorian Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal from the state government relating to compensation for the expiry of the gaming operator’s pokies licence in 2012.
The Court of Appeal upheld the Supreme Court of Victoria’s decision in favour of Tatts in June, which had ordered the government to pay Tatts compensation for the expiry of the operator’s gaming licence in August [...]
