The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned an advertisement for online gaming operator Betway which was found to be misleading for not making significant conditions sufficiently clear.
Text on the Betway.com homepage stated: "£50 Free Bet*", with the asterisk linking to a tab at the bottom of the page which stated "Bonus Terms".
One complainant challenged whether the ad was misleading because it did not make significant conditions sufficiently clear.
