A breach of Dutch gambling advertising regulations by the BankGiroLoterij has prompted the country’s charitable lotteries to commit to ensuring that future promotional campaigns are clear and do not mislead consumers.
The commitment specifically concerns direct mailing activities, which were the subject of a complaint last year by Dutch consumer watchdog the Consumentenbond.
