Financial spread betting and CFD provider IG Group has reported a 9 per cent increase in net trading revenue to a record £214.8m for the first half of the year ended November 30th, despite a difficult second quarter which saw revenue decline by 3 per cent.
IG said that the period was characterized by bursts of volatility in the financial markets, presenting more trading opportunities for its clients.
