Chinese sports data supplier LeidaSports has secured $1.5m investment from ecommerce giant Alibaba Group and investment firm Handnice Capital, with the company also set to merge with app developer Sports Craze.
Alibaba has invested in the business after LeidaSports and Sports Craze agreed a deal with the corporation’s subsidiary UC Web, which provides hosted sports data to more than 100m customers. The deal will also see Leida provide similar services for the Toutiao, Alibaba Lottery, Sohu [...]
