Las Vegas Sands fined by Nevada regulator for anti-money laundering failures

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NCGB) has claimed that Las Vegas Sands (LVS) violated the state Gaming Control Act by breaching anti-money laundering and anti-bribery regulations in Las Vegas and Macau, fining the casino operator $2m.

The regulator filed the complaint against Las Vegas Sands LLC and its Venetian Casino Resort subsidiary, based on charges brought by the US Securities Exchange Commission, settled in April, and additional charges filed by the US Treasury in 2013.
