The Australian government said Wednesday that it does not support the liberalisation of online gambling, including online poker, despite the recommendation of the Productivity Commission in its final report on gambling. The government said however that it will examine the regulatory approach taken by other countries with a similar stance such as the United States and its controversial UIGEA.
