Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Luigi di Maio has confirmed that the country's new coalition government is preparing to launch a crackdown on gambling, starting with a ban on gambling advertising.
Di Maio, leader of the populist Five Star Movement and Minister for Economic Development, Labour and Social Policies, said that the government would put a stop to gambling advertising in Italy in order to protect players from addiction.
