Sweden’s state-owned gaming operator Svenska Spel has committed SEK5.0m (approx. €466,000) in funding to five research projects in the field of problem gambling.
The Research Council grant will finance projects that have the potential to contribute to increased knowledge about gambling addiction, including a study into dependence among elite ice hockey players and another investigating the link between trauma and gambling addiction amongst women.
