South Africa proposes amendments to strengthen gambling legislation

The South African government has proposed changes to the country's gambling legislation which will reposition the National Gambling Board (NGB) as the country’s gambling regulator with enhanced powers to combat illegal operators.

Minister of Trade and Industry Rob Davies has published a notice of intention to introduce the National Gambling Amendment Bill 2018 into Parliament under Government Gazette number 41787.
