House Representative Dennis Keene has prefiled legislation that would authorise sports betting in Kentucky.
Keene's bill would authorise the Kentucky Lottery Corporation to offer betting on professional and collegiate sports to players over the age 18 who are located in the state.
Sports betting would be offered by lottery retailers with a minimum seating capacity of 20, as well as horse racing tracks and simulcast facilities, with proceeds directed to a new sports wagering distribution trust fund.
