Lawmakers in North Carolina introduced legislation Monday to allow sports betting on tribal lands.
The bill would amend Chapter 14 of the North Carolina General Statutes to include sports wagering as a permissible form of Class III gaming.
It defines sports wagering as the placing of wagers on the outcome of professional and collegiate sports contests.
