Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada and Congressman Darin LaHood of Illinois have requested that the US Treasury Department increase the reporting threshold for bingo and slot winnings.
In a letter to assistant secretary David Kautter dated May 13th, the lawmakers argue that the current winnings reporting threshold of $1,200 should be increased to take into account inflation, having remained unchanged since its introduction in 1977.
