The Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic approved new tariffs this week on potentially addictive products, with higher taxes on gaming and sports betting coming into force next year.
The higher tariffs apply to tobacco, alcohol and gambling, with the tax on fixed-odds and totalizator betting, as well as raffles and small-scale tournaments, rising from 23 per cent to 25 per cent of gross gaming revenue (GGR).
