Kentucky Senator Julian Carroll has prefiled legislation to regulate sports betting, the fifth such attempt since 2017.
Senator Carroll’s latest bill includes many of the proposals contained in the earlier bills, although it proposes the highest tax rate yet, 25 per cent of net sports wagering receipts at non-lottery retailers, in a bid to garner support.
BR 236 would establish the Kentucky Gaming Commission, which would be tasked with developing regulations for the conduct of sports betting [...]
