French lottery and sports betting operator La Française des Jeux (FDJ) has initiated the first step in its long-awaited plans to privatize the business.
FDJ received approval Friday to register its listing document with French stock market regulator Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
The IPO is part of President Emmanuel Macron’s efforts to raise funds and boost the French economy, with airport group ADP also to be privatized alongside FDJ.
