The government of South Australia has introduced new reforms that will see additional funds injected into the state’s Gamblers Rehabilitation Fund to support people at risk of gambling related harm.
South Australia Attorney-General Vickie Chapman said that if the reforms pass State Parliament, the additional $1m a year would be used to fund support services, including in-venue counsellors who will assist in early intervention with people at risk of gambling harm.
