UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has confirmed that approximately 100 employees could be made redundant following the transfer of a number of roles to the company’s new digital operations in Israel under its partnership with Playtech.

Ladbrokes Israel, a new wholly-owned ecommerce and digital marketing services operation based in Tel Aviv, formally began operations on May 1st as part of the company’s overhaul of its online gaming operations together with technology and services provider Playtech earlier this year.

The company had previously stated that forty people would be employed by Ladbrokes Israel with the senior team acquired from The Nation Traffic, an experienced online and offline CRM company with a proven track record of working with Playtech’s products and back office systems.
