Online gaming software developer ISIS Lab has hired Anthony Abrahamson as the company’s new senior vice president of operations and business affairs.

Abrahamson joins the company after spending three years with Latin American hotel and casino operator Silver Entertainment, where he served as director of online operations for the business from 2009 to 2012, offering online poker and casino games on Playtech’s platform and iPoker network.

Before joining Silver Entertainment, he spent five years as global chief operating officer for the Tribeca Tables Poker Network. The company supplied its product to operators including Paddy Power and Victor Chandler, and merged with Tain’s poker business, before being sold to Playtech in an estimated $139m deal in 2006.

At the time the company was the second most popular poker network in the world after PartyPoker.

ISIS Lab chairman and chief executive Daniel Kajouie lauded Abrahamson’s role in building Tribeca Tables’ business, describing him as a “well-seasoned gaming industry executive.”

“He is one of the most valued and sought after executives in the industry, and we are pleased to welcome him to the ISIS Lab Family,” Kajouie added.

Abrahamson said he was excited to have joined the network, and highlighted the company’s social network for real-money social games ISIS Friends as striking a key attraction for joining the business.

“In my opinion the ISIS Friends platform is truly ground breaking; the energy, commitment and passion of the entire ISIS team is phenomenal,” he explained.

Abrahamson’s appointment is subject to approval from the TSX Venture Exchange.

In related news, ISIS has awarded an aggregate of 1,000,000 stock options to various operators and consultants, exercisable at $0.40 per common share.

The options are being granted pursuant to the company's incentive stock option plan and are subject to any necessary regulatory or stock exchange requirements.
