Realistic Games, the newly Gibraltar-licensed slots and casino games developer, has bolstered its commercial team with the appointment of Abid Riaz.
As sales and account manager, Riaz has been tasked with expanding the supplier’s operation in Gibraltar, where the company was awarded a B2B Remote Gaming Licence earlier this month, becoming the seventh company to secure the licence.
He will work closely with existing customers, and lead efforts to acquire new clients in the jurisdiction, as well as looking after the regulatory and administrative requirements associated with its Gibraltar licence.
Realistic commercial director Andy Harris said that the new office led by Riaz would be a major factor in attracting top-tier new clients.
“He is commercially-astute as well as being customer-focused, and brings with him some great contacts and experience from around the world. I’ve no doubt he is a great addition,” Harris added.
Riaz joins Realistic from Betsson, where he has served as head of VIP for the past 8 months, after holding the same role for Bodog for the previous year.
Before his promotion to head of VIP, he served as VIP CRM manager for Bodog Europe, joining in June 2011 after over two years as head of VIP for casino games and bingo at Ladbrokes.
The supplier secured its Gibraltar licence in a bid to expand its portfolio of games and client base, noting that the company’s ability to pass the jurisdiction’s strict probity tests and due diligence would give prospective customers confidence in the business.
Realistic currently works with a selection of high-profile operators including bet65, BetVictor, Boylesports, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Stan James.
