Inspired Gaming Group has promoted marketing director Lucy Buckley to the newly-created role of director of strategy and communications.

The supplier attributed the promotion to Buckley’s contributions to the business over the past four years.

Buckley will now serve as part of Inspired’s executive team, helping to refine and document the company’s corporate and divisional strategies, define key milestones, and track the progress of short- and long-term business objectives, as it moves into new markets and product verticals.

She will continue to oversee Inspired’s marketing and communications functions, alongside greater involvement in the company’s day-to-day activies.

Buckley has served as marketing director at the server-based gaming specialist since 2010, joining from communications agency Speed, where she was responsible for developing corporate reputation programmes for Inspired.

She also managed the press office and media relations strategy for UK weekly magazine the Economist and worked with US technology company Symantec as a senior account manager at Speed.

Buckley commented that she was “delighted” with the new role.

“Over the last four years at Inspired, I have worked tirelessly to develop the B2B and B2C marketing functions so that they match and support the quality of the products that Inspired offers,” she said. “I look forward to the challenges ahead as I start my new role at Inspired and embark on a part-time MBA at Cass Business School in London.”

“I also look forward to playing a more active role within the global gaming industry,” she added.

Inspired founder and chief executive Luke Alvarez said that Buckley had been “an absolute asset” to the company, and congratulated her on the “well deserved” promotion.
