Jens Halle, the managing director of NOVOMATIC Group subsidiaries Austrian Gaming Industries and NOVOMATIC Americas Sales, is to step down from both roles before the end of the year.

The company said that the decision was made by mutual content, with Halle noting that he is keen to take on new challenges and move his career in a different direction.

He has spent the past fifteen years with NOVOMATIC, initially joining as head of sales before moving on to become managing director of Austrian Gaming Industries, Europe's biggest supplier of electronic gaming equipment. He then took on responsibility for the Americas.

Halle said he had been honoured to have been asked to join the business, and thanked his “loyal team of true gaming professionals” for helping grow the business into an internationally successful supplier.

“[Although] I now feel the need for new challenges and new directions, I will always be grateful for the experience of working together with colleagues and friends and for the satisfaction that I gained from being within one of the gaming industry’s true leaders,” he said.

Herbert Lugmayr, chairman of NOVOMATIC’s supervisory board, said of Halle’s departure: “I extend my appreciation to Mr Jens Halle on behalf of the owner, the management board and the supervisory board, for his long-standing commitment.”

“Mr Halle has made a significant contribution to the international orientation of this company. I wish him all the best for his future,” Lugmayr added.
