Central and Eastern European online and land-based gaming operator Fortuna Entertainment Group has brought in Jaroslava Hirschová as the company's new chief financial officer.

Hirschová replaces Michal Vepřek in the role, having previously served as CFO and a board member of Slovak Primabanky.

In her twenty-year career she has worked for a number of companies in the banking and financial services sector, holding management positions for GE Captial Bank, Slovakia’s Prima Banka and Czech bank ČSOB.

Vepřek will leave the company on December 31st, having been with Fortuna for just under five years on December 31st. His departure was announced in October this year, with chief marketing officer Zdeněk Lang also stepping down. However the operator is yet hire a replacement for Lang.

“I am very pleased to join the management team of Fortuna and to have the opportunity to actively participate on the development of such a strong and stable company with a high expansion potential in the current and new business lines,“ Hirschová said of her new role.

Fortuna’s newly-appointed chief executive Per Widerström said that the company had managed to recruit a top professional with experience working in prestigious banking and financial institutions to replace Vepřek as CFO.

“Together with Jaroslava, we will jointly work on implementation of key processes and in the upcoming periods we would like to utilize all potentials for a further growth of the Company,“ he said.

Shares in Fortuna Entertainment Group NV (Co.Data) (PRA:FOREG) are currently trading up 0.3 per cent at CZK123.85 per share in Prague this morning.
