Online gaming operator Sky Betting and Gaming has announced that it is creating 90 new jobs at its headquarters in Leeds as the company continues to invest in its growing team.

Sky Bet said that due to the rapid expansion of its business over the past 12 months, the operator has created a number of new positions in a range of departments, including technology, product development, marketing and customer service. All of the jobs will be based in Sky Bet’s offices in Wellington Place.

“This is a really exciting time for Sky Bet and I’m really pleased to be able to confirm that we are continuing to invest in Yorkshire with the recruitment of 90 new team members as we continue to grow our business,” said Sky Bet’s managing director Richard Flint. “The expansion of Sky Bet over the last year means we now need more people to join a number of our departments here in Leeds.

“We work hard to ensure that Sky Betting and Gaming remains one of the best places to work in Yorkshire and a massive factor in that is ensuring we have the right people. We’re looking for the very best individuals, which is often more about candidates having the right attitude and potential rather than solely focusing on experience.”

Last month, private equity firm CVC Capital Partners acquired a controlling stake in Sky Bet for £800m, while the operator launched its first social casino app last week in partnership with OpenWager.
